Principal's Message

Welcome to Payson Elementary School - Home of the Lil’ Longhorns

It is my honor to have been selected to serve as the Principal at PES for the 2019-2020 school year.  I began my educational journey over twenty years ago as a science teacher and have had some amazing opportunities over the last two decades in various education roles including Teacher, Coach, Advisor, District Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Principal.

I am excited to be part of a campus that has such deep roots in culture and PRIDE.  It is that belief that EVERYONE is responsible for school-wide success and takes Personal Responsibility In Daily Excellence, that we continue to see greatness in our students.  Our staff members are committed to providing effective instruction in the classroom, as well as intervention and enrichment opportunities to individualize learning opportunities for all students. Capturing Kids’ Hearts program is quintessential to building a positive school culture as well as to maximize the learning of each child. We invite you to join us in this journey.

Family/School partnerships have been proven to increase student success. For example, reading with your child at home, every night, is one of the most powerful things you can do to help them succeed.  Volunteering with the PTO also helps set the school up for success. Please consider donating your time for our school events, or with one of our amazing teachers during the school day.

High expectations and support will help our students achieve more.  Every decision we make is about what is best for our students. They are the reason we love what we do!  We strive to make an impact on this community and world - one student at a time. With our families, we commit to making the 2019-2020 school year one that inspires learning and creates Amazing growth opportunities for all students to showcase their talents.

PES has Longhorn PRIDE-

Personal Responsibility In Daily Excellence!
